Tales of a Tapeworm

Post by Myre on Mon Jun 16, 2008 12:46 am

Yes, I know it sounds really stupid, but in order to learn my way around the editor (And do terrain better) I have to do SOMETHING. So this is it. It's a small campaign (7-15 levels) of a man who goes to a bar, eats some fish and picks up tapeworm. The tapeworm is tampered with by (insert something modernish here) and eventually takes control of his body. That's all I have so far for storyline. Also, yes. I was in fact, slightly inebriated when I thought of this. Just to clear things up. Rolling Eyes

BloodRayne kicks ass.

More details plz. Characters, heroes, etc. Give me that and I probably wouldn't mind hosting.

Well. You're a man named John C. Esquire who wakes up in the forests with a serious hangover. No abilities are unlocked then and you have no idea where you are. After passing through the forest you arrive at your house in (City near a forest) where you are evacuated due to various attacks by an extremist group trying to save trees and stuff. In the safehouse, the waterlines are tapped with an experimental chemical aimed at enhancing the people currently there for military use. The tapeworm inside John's body absorbs most of the chemical, and moves to the brain, where it takes control of John's body and begins it's quest of world domination. I'm not sure if I want John to be a hero unit or not, because some abilities will be needed to get through some situations and I'm thinking of just having him learn new abilities as the tapeworm grows in intelligence. The tapeworm will use John to take over various figures of authority and power to accomplish his goals. Also, since it's just a campaign, after I'm done I'll be making a multiplayer version of it. Not with the original gameplay, but you have to kill the other tapeworm infested people so that none will stand in your way of world domination, It'll have items from the campaign, only altered a little. So pipebombs won't one-hit people. There will also be heroes and the skills won't be unlocked as you progress further into the game, so different people have different abilities to kind of make gameplay more diverse.

BloodRayne kicks ass.

I've always wanted to shoot a gun, I wonder what it's like.

It's pretty fun. Except when you're shooting a 12-gauge shotgun and it knocks you back about 7 inches and leaves a bruise the size of a small apple in your arm.

You gotta hold it right and distribute the force created by the ignition of the powder. If you do it right the force from the blast should be relatively harmless. Unless you're on the receiving end and you get peppered.

BloodRayne kicks ass.

Ugh, epic noobs.

He didn't shoot his nuts off. He put the BUTT of the gun there so the recoil would smash them.

ugh. If he shot himself there with a sawn-off, he'd likely be dead.

Ooohhh... thanks for clearing that up Dark. Sorry Topher, it's just so hard to believe that you blasted your manhood. You didn't mention using the butt of the gun. Razz

Okay, no more discussion of this. I'm closing this thread because Tales of a Tapeworm is already a project, and this is getting badly off-topic.
